📌 License Server Connection
Why License Server Connection is Required
Control Core requires a connection to the License Server for:
- Subscription Verification: Verifying your subscription status
- Feature Gating: Enabling policy testing and production deployment
- Trial Management: Tracking trial periods and extensions
Without License Server Connection
If License Server is not connected:
- ✅ You can create policies
- ❌ You cannot test policies
- ❌ You cannot promote policies to production
Connecting to License Server
- Navigate to Settings → General → Telemetry tab
- Configure License Admin URL (e.g.,
https://business-admin.controlcore.io) - Enter your API Key (provided by Control Core)
- Click Test Connection to verify connectivity
- Click Save to store configuration
See the Telemetry Management Guide for detailed instructions.

Understanding License Requirements
Bouncer Pair Licensing
Control Core licensing is based on bouncer pairs:
- 1 Free Pair: One Control Plane + one bouncer pair (Sandbox + Production) is included
- Additional Pairs: Each additional bouncer pair requires additional licensing
Your telemetry data automatically tracks bouncer pairs for license verification.
